The Lotus flower is a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth.
The lotus has a life cycle unlike any other plant. Its roots are deep in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean.
Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when we are in our darkest moments we are able to make a come back, just like the Lotus Flower. When we experience the dark moments is when we appreciate the good ones. Without the dark moments we would not learn grow and expand.
In many cultures, this process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.
